Evelyn Chan f

With over 20 years' experience in media, communications, marketing and business development, Evelyn is a long-time knowledge worker in conceptualizing and strategizing business and marketing initiatives for various disciplines, ranging from corporate and finance to lifestyle and consumer market to art and culture.

In the early till mid 1990s, Evelyn was the Editorial Director of Sisters' Press Group, which published a number of magazine titles including the long-history Sisters' Biweekly and the most popular interior design magazine Modern Home and a few other titles. Evelyn oversaw all the magazine titles of the company including the Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore editions then. She was also one of the few Founding Editors of Next Weekly in the late 1980s.

In 1996 Evelyn changed her career direction to business development, marketing and public relations, and in 2006 became the Director of a full-service public relations agency: Occasions Corporate, Financial and Marketing Communications Ltd., which was successfully acquired by a global PR firm Financial Dynamics Ltd. in Dec 2007. During her stint as a Marketing and PR professional, Evelyn had spearheaded a number of brand building exercises and mega events for her clients. Some of her more prominent clients included Watson's Water, Tung Fong Hung Chinese Medicine Group, TSL Jewellery, Crabtree & Evelyn, Lalique, Porter International, the Taiwan Government, and more recently Megabox, Kerry Properties and Sun Hing Kai Properties, etc.

From 1999 to 2004 Evelyn worked for Shun Tak Holdings Limited and became the Chief Marketing Officer (and Acting Chief Operating Officer) of the Group's travel division as well as the Group's Corporate Communications Manager, directly assisted the Group's Managing Director in corporate business development.
